The clock ticks on but u keep your fingers crossed
The brain gets corrupted as negativity drowns its pulse
The worst is about to come, but you are not ready yet.
Your mind seems to boggle at the very thought
You can feel your blood rush persistently through your veins
Your time to deliver is almost upon you
Yet you cannot see the stars of the sky smiling at you
You can’t let yourself down, not this time
You will fix this mess; you are going to put it right
You reach for your watch to check what time it is
But then your heart skips a beat, and u wish you hadn’t bothered
Alas, a rush of cold adrenaline
You can’t hold back, it’s now or never
Deadline day looms large, but so does your determination
You are going to beat the clock, No matter what it takes!
